Dear Younger Self,

Knowing what I know now here is what I would like to tell you.

You are going to go through some rocky times in the next few years but your going to be okay. God will take you down a path that will help you grow into who you need to be. Its not going to be painless, quit the opposite actually its going to be painful. But in the end you will be so thankful for each and every tear you shed, every single worry that kept you up at night, and every single time you were so angry or feeling despair.

You are going to be surprised at some of the twists and turn along the way. You will think I never expected this I have done everything in my power to do the right thing, but you need to give it to God. Even when its hard to, you are going to want to just be angry or sulk but don’t. Instead Pray and Pray hard, it will be the only saving grace you have. Talking to God. Its fine it be angry with God at times, he already knows your feelings so talk and pray and be transparent.

Your imperfectly perfect, so embrace those imperfections. God made you exactly who you are. So when ever anything or anyone has you doubting you, remember your good. Live your truth as best as you can and do your absolute best. That’s what God wants from you, your best! Not someone else’s, yours.

When you are feeling like the walls are moving in from every direction, ask yourself if you need to stay or leave. Don’t sacrifice yourself and who you are to make someone else happy. That is not what you were put on this earth to do. Your gifts are the ability to love fiercely, loyal to all you love, and the ability to relate well to others. You love to solve problems but don’t get so caught up in solving a problem that you lose yourself in the problem. Be there for others but don’t allow yourself to go where they are, you need to keep a certain amount of distance to protect heart. “Above all else guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23.

God has a great plan for you, for everyone of His children. Trust that and embrace it.
